Famiee wants to create an inclusive world that completely embraces diverse forms of family using blockchain and the power of the crowd.

What We Do

Many countries have not legalized same-sex marriage. Started in Japan and run by volunteers, Famiee has created a way for same-sex couples to have many of the important spousal and familial benefits available to married couples. Famiee achieves this through a simple blockchain technology-based service that issues same-sex partners a certificate that unlocks access to a powerful network of large corporations and providers — from insurance companies to banks, hospitals and more — who share our mission of inclusivity.

How it works

Couples apply for the Famiee certificate using our phone app. Once verified, Famiee issues them a digital certificate which can be printed out or shown to our network of partners who recognize this digital certificate as proof of marital status. Through the Famiee certificate, same-sex couples can enjoy the protection and care that might otherwise only be available to opposite-sex couples. With Famiee, we can change the world now for same-sex families.

The information that is certificated will be saved, and is only accessible by the people themselves. You can it access from all over the world.

Blockchain

It proves the relationships, with the form that cannot be manipulated by anybody else.

Our goal

The idea of "family" has been changing day by day. There are new family forms, such as LGBTQ+ couples, common law couples, children whose egg cells or sperm were donated, children that were born with a support of surrogate mothers, and single mothers who support each other. However, in this society which is formed by conventional concepts, people who live based on new ideas suffer from many difficulties. Although it is hard to change the laws and social norms immediately, it is possible to make a change by people or organizations with innovative ideas, and those who are more accepting. By these small changes built up gradually, a new social norms can be created, and then the legal system can be changed. Yes, what is important is to take an action. I hope every one of you agree with this project, and take an action with us.
